Our Policies
Leashes and Walks
To help ensure your pet's safety, please have your pet on a leash and under your control at all times
when entering or leaving the Resort. Some days are a bit crowded and we would not want any one to be
accidentally injured or frightened. While under our care, no guest will be allowed to go on walks except
on leash and under the direct supervision of a member of the staff.
Check In and Check Out
Guests can be admitted for boarding any time during our normal business hours. Boarding charges at
our normal daily rate will begin on the day of arrival at whatever time you find convenient to drop your pet
off. Please schedule your arrival time so we are have staff ready to assist you and accommodations
ready for your pet.
Boarding and grooming guests are required to have proof of current vaccinations given by a licensed
veterinarian (including a Rabies Certificate) on file prior to admission. We will conduct a brief check
up to ensure that guests appear healthy and free of fleas, ticks, or other parasites. No guests will be
allowed to check in that appear to be in ill health. Pets found to have fleas or ticks will be given a bath
and treatment at owner's expense prior to admission to the boarding facilities. Please make sure that
you provide your veterinarian’s name and contact information, as well as an emergency contact name
and number for use during your pet’s stay.
Check out time is between 8:00AM and 11:00AM. If you pick up your pet after 11:00 AM, you will be
charged for that day. Please understand that there will be NO ADMISSIONS OR DEPARTURES
outside of our normal business hours.
Reservations
All boarding reservations should be scheduled in advance of your arrival. Some times we will be filled to
our capacity and not able to accept any more guests. Any vacations planned during a Holiday period
(the week before through the week after a Holiday) or in the summer when school is out should be made
as far in advance as possible. All reservations during Holidays and the months of June, July, and
August will require a minimum of 5 business days notice to change arrival or departure dates.
Changes in arrival and/or departure dates made without this notice will be billed for the full amount of
days reserved at time the appointment was scheduled. All holiday reservations require a 3 day,
non-refundable deposit. Unless otherwise indicated, this is due within 7 days of scheduling the
reservation.
Vaccinations
For the well being of your pet, as well as all other boarding guests at Paradise Palms Pet Resort, we require proof of
vaccinations prior to entering the boarding and grooming areas. The vaccination records must include a current Rabies
Certificate. You may provide the records when you arrive or they can be faxed or mailed to us. Please understand that if
you should arrive without proof of vaccinations, your pet will not be allowed into the boarding areas. If you are not bringing
the records with you, and you have not previously provided this information, we highly recommend you call ahead to ensure
we have received them.

Methods of Payment
Payment is considered due when you pick up your pet. If someone else picks up your pet for you, they should have the means
by which to settle your account. For your convenience, we gladly accept the following types of Payment: Cash, Personal
Check, Visa, Mastercard, Traveler's Check, or Cashier's Check. Any extended stay (over 14 days) will require a two week
deposit at arrival followed by bi-monthly payments.
Bedding, Toys, and Chews
All boarding guests are invited to bring along a blanket or bed from home. If you would prefer, we have assorted blankets
and beds for guest use. No bedding material that includes open or exposed hay, straw, wood chips or any other loose
bedding will be allowed. All items will be monitored and washed as needed. Please understand that some of the large beds,
sleeping bags, and comforter size blankets are beyond our capabilities to clean. We are no longer able to accept these
types of items. Please consider the ease at which we can clean any soiled item and return it to your pet promptly when
selecting bedding. We also ask that bedding brought from home be labeled with a permanent marker with the guest's name
and your last name. Any toy, chew, or special object that your pet enjoys may be brought from home and placed with your
pet. Remember that your pet is away from home and may chew things that he might not ordinarily chew at home, so choose
toys and tugs that you don't mind if they get chewed up. Any bedding item, toy, or chew that becomes too damaged, or we
feel may be dangerous, will be removed at the sole discretion of our staff.
Foods, Special Diets, and Medications
We provide a premium quality diet for our boarding guests to enjoy. However, if you prefer, you may bring your own food from
home. Food should be divided into individual meal portions and labelled with your pet's name and your last name. If your pet is
on a special or prescription diet, you will need to bring this food along with detailed instructions. Any canned or moist food will
need to be brought from home. We have a microwave and refrigerator to aid in the care of any special need food or treat that
you may want to bring. No additional charge will be added for foods brought from home. We serve meals as requested. This
is generally twice a day. If your pet requires more frequent meals, there will be a modest additional charge for this service.
Medications that your pet may require, either oral or topical, can be administered by a member of our trained Staff. All
medications, vitamins, or supplements must be in the original container and prescriptions must have the appropriate label,
including current dosage, from the prescribing veterinarian. There will be a small additional charge for administering
medications, vitamins, or supplements.
Additional Activities
Paradise Palms Pet Resort offers some additional activities for guests to participate in while boarding at our Resort. These
activities are in addition to, and not replacement of, the daily attention and care that all our guests receive. All activities are
provided as another way to increase your pet's enjoyment while here. All outdoor activities are performed weather permitting.
If for any reason your pet is not able to receive a scheduled activity, charges for that session will not be added to your final bill.
Pets that show any aggression are not eligible for these activities. Some activities may be suspended on Holidays.
Flea and Tick Control
We strive to take all steps necessary to ensure a flea and tick free boarding and grooming environment for all our guests. All
guests will be examined prior to admission to the kennel area. Any pet that arrives with a flea or tick infestation will be
required to receive treatment, at the owner's expense, before entering the boarding facilities. We have bathing facilities on
premises so any treatments needed can be taken care of immediately. Every effort is made both inside and out to control all
insects and parasites that may present a concern to our guests.
Sanitation
Paradise Palms Pet Resort is kept clean and fresh smelling at all times through hard work and a regimented cleaning policy.
The guest accommodations are sanitized after every guest leaves and before your pet arrives. Our runs are kept cleaned
and mopped throughout the day and washed down at night after all our Guests have gone to bed. Stainless steel food bowls
are washed after every meal. Stainless steel water bowls are kept full and are cleaned at least once daily. All linen and beds
are laundered as needed. All runs have walls to prevent cross contamination. Air is exchanged with an air handling unit and
fans to insure a constant supply of fresh air.
Emergency Policy
When you arrive you will be asked for a contact or emergency number to be placed on file in Case of Emergency. Your
veterinarian's information will also be kept on file. If at all possible and within reasonable distance, we will use your
Veterinarian for any treatment that your veterinarian deems necessary. If the situation is an actual vital emergency requiring
immediate medical attention, we will transport your pet to the closest emergency veterinary hospital for treatment. While these
are the rare exception to the rule, it is always best to be prepared in advance.

Personally pampering your pets like our own.
*****It is important to note that while we do not require pets to be altered in order to board, unaltered guests may have
additional charges based on their cleanliness. Many times, unaltered guests mark their living quarters, which may cause the
guest to need Spa visits prior to their schedule departure dates. If you pet is unaltered and needs extra bathing to ensure
his/her good health and hygiene, this will be done at the owner's expense.
